Global Insights, Local Impact: Strengthening Diversity and Innovation in Brazil

Oct 15, 2025

Reflecting back on GPC International conference organized by the Directors of Law School Academic Center in partnership with Economy, Administration, Accounting Schools: “The Intersection of Finance, Law and Innovation in a changing world: Global Insights, Local Impact” given by Julien Gueissaz and Simone Ponce, invited by Manuela da Silva Zanchetta (president), Breno de Oliveira Santos (finance director), at OAB in Cuiaba earlier this year and amongst the latest work carried out at GPC towards partnerships with indigenous communities, we can see the importance of strengthening diversity combined with the dedication of youth in thinking about a sustainable Brazil.
Quoting Julien Gueissaz, CEO and Chairman of GPC: “A static or curtailed design, while possibly adapted and optimized to a set of circumstances, is also perfectly designed to fail as circumstances in the environment surrounding it change. A framework, an individual, need to be attuned to the shifting environment and adaptable to strive. Indigenous communities wealth of knowledge is diversity to be treasured as well as the integrity of the environment they defend.”
Our event brought together over 200 students, the first held entirely in English at the Law School of UFMT to achieve this milestone. When considering the future of the international economy and the human rights landscape, it’s crucial to focus on diversity and youth, combined with the construction of quality knowledge.
And we are doing it.
