Is a senior banker having spent all of his professional and executive career in trading, asset management, treasury in Switzerland and in the UK.

He has held both client facing and non-client facing roles in large banking organizations as Head of Investment Strategy, Private Banking Treasurer, Global Chief Operating Officer Balance-Sheet-Management and lately Global Head of Strategy for HSBC Bank Treasury based in London with responsibilities across capital, liquidity, interest rate risk and capital markets for all entities of the Group.

Julien Gueissaz is Swiss, has a degree in Economics from HEC Lausanne, earned the CFA designation and FRM designation.


Is a lawyer advising companies, public authorities, private individuals on administrative law, procurement law, and contract law.

‍Previously, as President of the Cantonal Court of Lucerne, he served at the canton’s highest court until 2021. He began his career in the judiciary as a trial court judge for debt and enforcement proceedings. He spent his first years post-qualification at various universities in Switzerland and foreign countries, at a Lucerne law firm, at the Swiss Competition Commission (COMCO), as well as at several District Courts in Switzerland. In 2023, he also obtained the Lucerne administrator’s certificate for the assumption and execution of administrator mandates.

He holds a doctorate in law, and regularly publishes. He is a lecturer for civil law at the University of St. Gallen, as well as lecturer at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
